Menchville (Newport News, VA) star rising senior Clifton Richardson decided to participate in the Nike Camp at Virginia Tech this past Saturday. The 6-1, 195-pound prospect, a versatile performer who has seen action at a handful of different positions on the high school level, was slotted at running back, something that had not happened in previous camps or combines.
“I think I did great,” said Richardson, who performed well despite suffering a slight hamstring injury. “It was the first time I’d ever gone to an event like this and played running back. I could hone my skills. I think I looked good coming out of breaks. I think I did a good job doing the drills. I showed I can stay at full speed when I cut. I showed my change of direction.”
