The Latest On Dunbar WR Daniel Adams

Offers continue to trickle in for Dunbar (Washington, D.C.) rising senior wide receiver Daniel Adams . UVa remains high on the 6-2, 195-pound prospect’s list, but at this point a decision doesn’t appear imminent. For now, Adams’ focus is on gaining chemistry with his new teammates.

“West Virginia is the most recent offer for him,” Dunbar head coach Craig Jefferies said. “We’ve been doing a lot of 7-on-7 passing tournaments and he hasn’t had a lot of opportunities to go to camps or make visits. We have a rising sophomore quarterback and we’ve been pretty successful over the summer. Daniel is doing a good job for us. He has been invited to go with a team of representatives for the Washington Redskins in the NFL National 7-on-7 Tournament in Tampa. That’ll be where he is this weekend.”

With 19 commitments in the fold and more decisions on the way, Virginia’s boat is filling up fast. Adams likes UVa but is in no rush to commit.

“He is aware that they are kind of filling up,” Jefferies said. “He still holds them in high regard, but I don’t think right now he is ready to make a commitment to anyone. Virginia is probably still at the top of his list. He has been there to visit, but right now he is concentrating on helping us out.”
