UVa In Ohio LB’s Final Five

St. Xavier (Cincinnati, OH) linebacker Sean Duggan is considering five schools for his college future. The University of Virginia has made the cut for the 6-4, 215-pound standout, who, after selecting a top five earlier in August, has now turned his attention to his senior season.

“Right now, I’m considering Boston College, Wisconsin, Michigan, Duke and UVa,” said Duggan, who has been offered scholarships by all five programs. “Right now in the process, things have slowed down. It’s kind of nice. I’m focused on the present and my senior football season. Our first game is coming up soon and it’s going to be on ESPN, so I’m kind of hanging in there and waiting for it.”

Asked what separated these five schools from the rest, Duggan answered, “A little bit of a gut feeling. The combination of athletics and academics are great at all these schools. They all have phenomenal academics. I know there is life after football, so I want to graduate somewhere with a solid degree.”

Including star sophomore linebacker Luke Kuechly , who is a friend of Duggan’s, Boston College has enjoyed success in recruiting the Cincinnati school. Therefore, it is not a surprise that the Eagles currently hold a slight edge in this race.
