University of Virginia 2011 recruit Vincent Croce helped Good Counsel (Olney, MD) defeat St. Xavier (Cincinnati, OH) last weekend, in a battle of two of the top high school football programs in the country. The 6-4, 265-pound senior, a defensive end recruit for the Cavaliers, starts at tight end and middle linebacker for the Falcons and played a significant role in last Sunday’s 21-6 win in Cincinnati. He took some time to discuss the game as well as his commitment to Virginia in this “Q&A.”

Chris: What was it like to play on ESPN?

Vincent Croce : It was exciting. ESPN televised a game my sophomore season against DeMatha, but this is more different because we were traveling. It was a hostile environment. There was a little extra to it.
