Overview

Mike London’s first road game at UVa is a tough test against USC.

Last Saturday’s home victory over the Richmond Spiders did much to wipe away the sad memories of 2009’s 3-9 campaign. The Cavaliers put together a solid offensive outing featuring an even balance between the running and passing games. There is still plenty of room for improvement, though; this week’s game will be a greater test of how far Mike London’s team has come, and how far the Hoos still have to go.

No matter how talented its players may be, Richmond is still an FCS team. The Spiders do not provide the caliber of competition found in the FBS, especially at schools like Southern California. The Richmond game appeased the fan base, and got the Wahoo players fired up. This week, the team takes on the Trojans in a game that should provide a clearer picture of what the 2010 Virginia football team is actually capable of.
