Spearheaded by the efforts of primary recruiter Jeff Hanson, the University of Virginia has made the final four for 6-4, 225-pound Irving (TX) defensive end Horace Arkadie . The standout senior will be one of a handful of official visitors this weekend, when the Cavaliers take on the Miami Hurricanes.

“I’m just going to see how college life is there,” Arkadie said. “They take on Miami, which is a good team in the ACC. I’m excited to see the college atmosphere. I’m excited to see a good academic school.”

Arkansas, Kansas, and Purdue are the three other finalists in this race. Arkadie, who has already taken an official visit to Purdue, plans to take officials to all four schools before making his college choice. Location, he says, is not a factor in his decision.

“I took my first visit two weeks ago, so I’m not quite ready to make a decision,” Arkadie said. “All of the schools have a chance. I just have to see what they have to offer. Virginia’s the next one I’ve set. I’m working on getting something set with Arkansas and then Kansas will be in December.”
