Postgraduate QB Makes Visit To UVa

Trinity-Pawling School (Pawling, N.Y.) signal caller Cormac Craigie may not have a scholarship offer from the University of Virginia at this time, but the 6-2 1/2, 210-pound postgraduate prospect was brought in on an official visit last weekend, an indication that the interest is certainly serious.

“It was good. I enjoyed it,” Craigie said of last weekend’s experience in Charlottesville. “I went down on Friday. On Saturday, I got a little tour. I met Coach London. I met with an academic advisor. I’d already met Coach Lazor and Coach Faragalli because I went there over the summer. I was impressed with Coach London. He carries himself the way a head coach should. He seems like the perfect guy to run that program.”

Back in the summer, Craigie contacted primary recruiter Mike Faragalli in hopes of being able to stop by UVa for an unofficial visit. The timing worked out, and he stopped in and met with Faragalli and Coach Bill Lazor. Since then, the UVa staff has been in consistent contact, including phone calls this fall.

While the staff seems interested, Craigie admits he isn’t sure where he stands in terms of a scholarship offer.
