Tomorrow, their son Brandon will sign a letter of intent with the Cavaliers, officially becoming part of the program he committed to on June 25 last year. The Damascus (MD) star senior’s parents took some time for a “Q&A” to discuss their son’s success, their son being a UVa legacy, the recruiting process and more.
Brandon Phelps , rated a 4-star prospect by ESPN.com, Rivals.com and Scout.com, is one of Virginia’s most highly regarded recruits in this class. A 6-0, 175-pound prospect, he started at cornerback and wide receiver on the varsity level for four years, eventually drawing the attention of some of the top programs in the country. Phelps would receive scholarship offers from 30 FBS programs including recent national champions Alabama and LSU before deciding to follow in his parents’ footsteps.
