Q&A: Brim Goes In-Depth On Commitment

Last week, the University of Virginia scored a verbal commitment from Florida prep standout Demeitre Brim . The 6-3, 200-pound junior, Victory Christian Academy’s (Lakeland, FL) starting quarterback and free safety last season, discusses how he came to his decision, future position, and more in this “Q&A.”

Background

Brim excelled on the gridiron this past season at VCA, the third school he has attended in as many years. He attended Lake Region High School his freshman year. Because of zoning changes, he transferred to Haines High School for his sophomore year. Brim transferred to VCA for his final two years of high school.

After playing quarterback and Lake Region and safety at Haines, Brim had the opportunity to play both this past season. The first-team all-county selection (as an athlete) totaled 3,198 yards (1718 passing, 1480 rushing) and 35 touchdowns in leading his team to a 12-1 overall record and an appearance in the Class 1B state semifinals.
