Nosovitch Planning UVa Visit

Central Catholic (Allentown, PA) quarterback Brendan Nosovitch decided not to attend the University of Virginia’s Elite Prospect Day last Sunday. The 6’2″, 200-pound rising senior does plan to head to Charlottesville, however, possibly within the next two weeks.

“I’ll go pretty soon,” he said in an interview on June 5. “Maybe in a couple of weeks. I don’t have a definite date, but I’m going to go soon.”

Central Catholic didn’t lose a game last season, as Nosovitch totaled 4,758 yards of offense (3,111 yards passing and 1,647 yards rushing) and 68 touchdowns (43 passing, 25 rushing). UVa was the first school to offer Nosovitch, coming through late last season. Army, Clemson, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Ohio and South Carolina have followed suit.

Nosovitch says it would be “ideal” to make a commitment before the start of his senior season. The 2010 Gatorade Player of the Year has already visited Virginia once this year, in February for a junior day event.
