This will be a very interesting year for the defensive ends in terms of both the present and the future. When it comes to the present, the unexpected departure of Zane Parr changes the 2011 lineup significantly; when it comes to the future, the influx of what feels like 103 potential defensive ends in the last recruiting class – with more coming next year – makes it hard to look at 2011 without thinking about the out years. Either way, there is a lot of turnover going on at a position that must be an impact slot in UVa’s 4-3 defense.
