Westside (Houston, TX) cornerback Hipolito Corporan verbally committed to the University of Virginia last May, but coaching staff changes have caused the 6’2″, 190-pound senior to reconsider his original college choice.

“With Virginia, I like the school a lot,” Corporan said. “But the coaching change was scary a little bit. I’ve been talking with my parents about the coaching staff changes a lot. I’m not sure how I’d fit what the new defensive coordinator likes to do.”

Corporan developed a close relationship with Jeff Hanson, who was dismissed along with defensive coordinator Jim Reid and two others on December 2.

“Coach Wachenheim started off as my primary recruiter, but Coach Hanson, I talked to him once or twice a week,” Corporan said.
