The Virginia men’s basketball team picked up its third straight ACC win by stopping Boston College over the weekend. The Hoos’ 65-51 triumph marked the third straight game with a double-digit margin of victory too. It was also the fifth time in five league games that the opponent fell short of 60 points. In other words, the Cavaliers have found their stride for now as the 18-game ACC schedule rolls along. Let’s take a close look at the BC win in the “Double Bonus.”
Jesperson’s Big Day
After breaking off a planned redshirt year midway through last season, Virginia sophomore Paul Jesperson posted what was arguably the best all-around game of his career against Boston College on Saturday. The line: 6 points, 7 rebounds (career high), 3 steals (career high), 2 assists, and 1 blocked shot. That came in a team-high 37 minutes.
