The special team operations were not flawless but delivered often and at big moments.

Virginia’s pressure defense dictated play and kept the BYU offense off balance for much of the game. There is some concern that there were no big plays in the run or pass game and limited vertical attempts but that is likely more a function of easing a new quarterback into the offense.
