Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA) senior cornerback Darious Latimore arrived in Charlottesville this past Saturday for the start of an official visit to the University of Virginia. Before returning home on Monday, he decided he had seen enough to know where he wanted to spend the next four or five years of his life.

“When I first got here, I wasn’t planning on committing,” Latimore said. “When I warmed up to all of the players and coaches and got a feel for the campus, it hit me that I wanted to commit.”

Latimore was accompanied on the trip by his mother, who approved of her son’s choice.

“If my mom wasn’t comfortable I wouldn’t have committed,” Latimore said. “She wanted to make sure I’d be in the right hands, so she wanted to make sure the coaches and players were what she wanted.”
