Courtland ATH Nick Grant Commits To Virginia

The University of Virginia has landed another commitment in the class of 2016, and Courtland High School (Spotsylvania, VA) now has two rising senior prospects committed to major FBS programs.

Nick Grant verbally committed to UVa this afternoon, just two days after landing a scholarship offer from the Cavaliers. The 6’2″, 180-pound junior plays wide receiver and cornerback for the Cougars, but he says Virginia is recruiting him initially as a defensive back.

Grant visited UVa on February 28 of this year.

As a junior, Grant earned first-team all-Conference 22 honors as a kick returner. The second-team all-conference wide receiver, defensive back and punt returner helped the Cougars to a 10-2 record in 2014. J.C. Hall’s squad has captured 10 wins for three straight seasons and figures to be very good once again next season, featuring an outstanding senior class led by Grant and Virginia Tech-bound running back/linebacker Vic Greene.

UVa’s 2016 Class now stands at seven and includes four prospects from the state of Virginia.
