Virginia head football coach Mike London tweeted on June 19 that he was “waiting on you big guys in the trenches” to join Virginia football’s class of 2016. He got his wish this afternoon, when 6’5″, 270-pound rising senior offensive lineman Dillon Reinkensmeyer verbally committed to the University of Virginia.
Air Force, Colorado, Navy, Nevada, UNLV and New Mexico are among the other schools that offered Reinkensmeyer, who announced his college choice via Twitter.
Extremely honored and blessed to continue my academic and football careers at the University of Virginia!! #UVA pic.twitter.com/dR7Xh4Zawp

Virginia now has 15 verbal commitments in the class of 2016. Six of those prospects have committed this month. Reinkensmeyer is the second offensive line prospect to choose the Hoos, joining Indiana native Ben Knutson.
