Hallandale (FL) scored a win in its 2015 season opener at Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA); however, the Chargers lost one of their leaders and top players in senior wide receiver/return specialist Neru N’Shaka. The University of Virginia verbal commitment suffered a torn ACL in his right knee and is sidelined for the remainder of the 2015 season.

Surgery went well, and N’Shaka is now focused on his recovery.

“My recovery is going well,” N’Shaka said. “I had surgery two weeks ago. I should be fully recovered by the time I leave for college.”

He may not be able to take the field, but N’Shaka is still working to help his team from the sidelines. Hallandale is 5-1 heading into tonight’s away contest versus Miramar.
