QB Sonny Abramson “100-Percent” Committed To UVA

Pope John XXIII (Sparta, N.J.) senior quarterback Sonny Abramson has had no reservations when it comes to sticking by his decision to attend the University of Virginia, despite the fact that the Cavalier football program is in the process of finding a new head coach.

“I’m 100-percent committed,” said Abramson, who plans on signing a letter of intent in February and will enroll next summer. “We (Abramson and the rest of UVA’s class of 2016) all loved Coach London. He was more than just a football coach to us. We committed to more than the staff, though. We love the fans, the school, the atmosphere.”

This past Sunday, “Mr. Littlepage e-mailed all of us pretty quickly after Coach London leaving became official. Shortly after I received a call from him explaining the situation. He told me they are going to get a coach who can come in and start a winning tradition. I let him know I have the utmost faith in him. I let him know I was fully committed to UVA.”

Since communicating with Craig Littlepage, Abramson has been in touch with UVA assistant recruiting coordinator Blanda Wolfe. He has not spoken with any of the assistants as of last night.
