Excited By The New Staff, Jordan Mack Staying With UVA

Wesleyan (Norcross, GA) safety prospect Jordan Mack considered exploring other schools once Mike London resigned as Virginia football’s head coach in late November, but after speaking with new Cavalier football head man Bronco Mendenhall, the 6’3”, 205-pound senior has decided to stay with the commitment he gave UVA last June.

“At first I had the reaction everybody had,” Mack replied when asked if he considered evaluating his options once Mike London resigned. “I had a little doubt. I was considering keeping my options open and listening to other coaches from other schools. I was thinking about possibly going on other officials. Once I talked to the new coaches, I stuck by my decision.”

“I spoke with Coach Mendenhall about a month ago,” Mack continued. “Now I keep in constant contact with [new Virginia defensive backs coach Nick] Howell. We talk weekly.”

The Peach State senior was impressed by Mendenhall immediately.
