Florida OL Nick Brahms Reflects On Recent UVA Visit

On February 23 of this year, Navarre (FL) class of 2017 offensive lineman Nick Brahms received his first BCS scholarship offer, from the University of Virginia. Five more offers have since come from Power 5 schools with co-favorite Oregon being one the latest, coming through this week.

Accompanied by teammates Michael Carter (class of 2017 RB) and Aaron Mitchell (class of 2017 RB/LB), who both have offers from UVA as well, the 6’5”, 280-pound junior traveled to Charlottesville this past Saturday.

“I hadn’t visited UVa before,” Brahms wrote in an interview over Twitter direct message. “I knew they had a whole new coaching staff and the program was struggling a little bit. I believe this new staff is going to change the program into a very successful one. I always knew UVA is a great academic school, which is what I’m looking for in a university.”

“I think UVA is on the rise athletically,” Brahms continued. “It has always had strong academics. Top of the line school.”
