August 1 is a special day for rising senior Football Bowl Subdivision recruits. It is the first day those prospects can receive official scholarship offers from perspective schools. These days, a good portion of these prospects have already committed and are tweeting about the written offer they have received from their school of choice. Safety Joey Blount, defensive back Darrius Bratton, defensive back Zachariah Burton, offensive linemen Tyler Fannin and Chris Glaser Jr., defensive end John Kirven, and quarterback Lindell Stone were among Virginia’s 2017 Class commitments expressing their excitement.

UVA TARGETS TAKE TO TWITTER, TOO
Several of UVA’s top remaining class of 2017 targets also tweeted news of receiving an official offer from the Cavaliers. This includes Georgia linebacker Jaquan Henderson, who actually is a Tennessee commitment but who is also a player Bronco Mendenhall remains interested in and perhaps feels he could potentially flip.
Aforementioned UVA pledge Joey Blount took notice of Henderson’s tweet and responded with the following…
Don't know why you didn't commit with me…. https://t.co/1DEjA5aXad
Good Counsel (Olney, MD) rising senior Darnell Pratt Jr., a 6’4″ wide receiver, tweeted that he has received an official offer from the Hoos. As did defensive tackles Axel Nyembwe and Sammy Ochoa. Ochoa traveled from Austin (TX) to Charlottesville for a visit last week.
