Three more recruits verbally committed to the Virginia Cavaliers football program on Monday, giving head coach Bronco Mendenhall and staff 17 total commitments in the class of 2018. Eight of those commits have come on board since last Friday.
Wide receiver Wooby Theork and defensive linemen Samson Reed and Bryce Ramer are the newest Hoos, each announcing his commitment via Twitter late Monday night.

Theork received scholarship offers from Arizona, Central Florida, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Iowa State, Purdue, Rutgers, and of course Virginia before making his decision. The 5’11”, 180-pound rising senior is a 3-sport standout at Naples, playing football, basketball, and running track.
Reed, a 247Sports and Scout.com 3-star prospect, could be a nose tackle or defensive end in Mendenhall’s 3-4 scheme. The 6’3”, 250-pound prospect, a rising senior at Kahuku High School in Hawaii, considered offers from BYU, Hawaii, Nevada, and Washington State before choosing the Hoos.
Ramer, a product of Beaver Area (PA), stands 6’5” and weighs 300 pounds. He earned all-conference honors as an offensive and defensive tackle last season as a junior. However, based on a Ramer tweet following his commitment it appears UVA projects him as a defensive lineman.
