Four-Star Junior Wide Receiver Ramel Keyton Lands Virginia Offer

Virginia football has tossed its hat in the ring for Marietta (GA) wide receiver Ramel Keyton, a player considered one of the top overall prospects in the class of 2019.

Keyton, who measures in at 6’2”, 180 pounds according to his Hudl.com profile, racked up 59 catches for 1,294 yards and 16 touchdowns his junior season. He is rated a 4-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN, and all three of those national recruiting outlets include him among the nation’s top 200 high school juniors.

Virginia has plenty of competition for the talented receiver, who also boasts offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State and South Carolina, among others.

Incidentally, Keyton’s head coach at Marietta is former Oscar Smith head coach Richard Morgan. Morgan coached former Hoos such as Andrew Brown, Perry Jones, Phillip Sims and Tim Smith during his highly successful stint at the Chesapeake (VA) school.
