Three-Star WR Dorien Goddard Joins Virginia Football’s 2019 Class

Greeneville (TN) junior Dorien Goddard, a 2017 Tennessee Football Coaches Association Class 4-A All-State selection at wide receiver, announced his commitment to the University of Virginia Thursday (March 29). The 6’3”, 218-pound prospect committed while on an unofficial visit, the second visit he has made to Charlottesville this month.

“All Thanks to God! Thankful to say I have committed to The University of Virginia,” Goddard wrote in the tweet below. “Huge Thanks to the Coaching staff for making it feel like home!! Also Thanks to my mom, I GREATLY appreciate her and ALL the sacrifices she has made, and is currently making so that I can live out my dream! Proud to say I am a part of The New Standard!! #GoHoos”

Goddard helped the Greene Devils captured a 4-A state championship on the gridiron this past season, when he hauled in 64 receptions for 1,012 yards and 12 touchdowns. He played also plays defensive end. A two-sport standout, Goddard plays for the Greene Devils varsity basketball squad as well.

247Sports ranks Goddard as a 3-star prospect and the no. 41 junior in Tennessee. Georgia Tech, Central Michigan, and Middle Tennessee are among the other schools that had offered prior to the Greeneville’s star’s commitment.
