Class Of 2020 Forward/Center Mark Williams Talks Virginia Baskeball

Mark Williams has been a priority for a number of schools, Virginia included, since the end of his freshman year. James Madison extended a scholarship offer to the 6’10” post prospect in April of 2017. Virginia Tech and VCU offered in June of 2017 before Oklahoma State, UVA, Old Dominion and Clemson came through last July.

Williams attended a Virginia game this past season, and he returned to John Paul Jones arena this week for the 2018 NBPA Top 100 Camp.

“It’s a great campus,” Williams said of Virginia. “ACC. High level of competition. Coach Bennett’s a great coach.”

Of his relationship with UVA head coach Tony Bennett, Williams said: “I have a good relationship with him. I mean, he’s a great person as well as a great coach. They’ve prioritized me pretty highly as a big that’s able to defend, block shots, play offensively.”
