Following its second and final bye of the 2019 season, the University of Virginia football program returns to action on Saturday, November 23, for a noon home matchup with in-state foe Liberty. The Cavaliers and Flames squared off last season in Charlottesville, with UVA pulling away in the second half to earn a 45-24 victory. Liberty, which is in its first season under head coach Hugh Freeze, is 6-4 and aiming for bowl eligibility. Meanwhile, UVA is already bowl eligible at 7-3. The Cavaliers take on arch-rival Virginia Tech next Friday for the ACC Coastal Division title; however, this week’s contest certainly has significance.
Also, while Virginia football was on a bye last week, Five-Minute Friday was not. Here is a reflection on the Cavaliers’ season to date and what 2019 can become.
