It’s been nearly five months since the last time the Virginia football team took the field at Scott Stadium. A lot has happened in that time. A whole lot.
Bronco Mendenhall stepped down, the team had to cancel a Fenway Bowl appearance, UVA hired Tony Elliott from Clemson, he brought in new assistant coaches, and the wheels toward the new football operations picked up speed with a “coming 2024” sign the latest cue of that progress. Interesting stuff to be sure. None of it is actual football, though.
Virginia fans get their first chance to see the new-look Cavaliers on the field this weekend. The Blue-White Spring Game is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. at Scott Stadium. Admission and parking are free. The game is also set to be televised by the ACC Network.
