Chris Long To Visit ESPN College Gameday At JPJ

The Virginia basketball program hosts ESPN College Gameday on Saturday morning at the John Paul Jones Arena before taking on Virginia Tech later at 6:15 p.m. Attendance is free and the Hoos hope to pack the building like they have for previous Gameday visits.

A special guest has been announced for the event. Chris Long, Super Bowl Champion with the Philadelphia Eagles and UVA alumnus, will be at JPJ.

Expect an enthusiastic crowd to be on hand for the 11 a.m. broadcast. Students began camping out early for the event and there are several promotions running. The first 2,000 UVA students to enter JPJ will receive an official ESPN College GameDay t-shirt. (Not a student? Get UVA Bookstores Gameday gear here and support our sponsor at the same time!) All fans will have the opportunity to receive complimentary tickets to the men’s lacrosse home opener vs. Loyola at 1 p.m. on Saturday too. Plus, one fan in attendance will win a pair of lower level tickets to the Virginia-Virginia Tech game Saturday night.

Virginia football coach Bronco Mendenhall made sure that students would be well fueled to rock the arena as well.
