Best Seat In The House: Sabre Editor Kris Wright

The Virginia men’s basketball team played its annual intrasquad Blue-White Scrimmage on Saturday and Virginia fans grew even more excited for the season to start as a result. The Hoos open in three weeks when Tarleton State visits the John Paul Jones Arena on Monday, Nov. 6.

That will be the next opportunity to see the Hoos, but Saturday’s scrimmage provided the first glimpse at the 2023-2024 edition of Virginia basketball. Among the players with eye-catching performances were Leon Bond III, Ryan Dunn, and Reece Beekman. It’s obviously a controlled situation and a limited sample size in terms of minutes, but those three made plays on both ends of the floor and gave the look of a potentially menacing defensive core.

Sabre Editor Kris Wright joined The Best Seat in the House to talk about the scrimmage and more observations.
