The Virginia football team’s last win as a ranked team came back in 2007. The program’s last 3-0 start came all the way back in 2005. The No. 25 Hoos took care of both of those ‘last time’ facts on Saturday night with a thrilling 31-24 victory against Florida State. The Cavaliers had to rally from a fourth quarter deficit and make a goal line stand reminiscent of the 1995 win against FSU to get it done, but they got an important program-building victory in front of the largest crowd of the Bronco Mendenhall era.
