In 2008 and 2009, Sherrill has gone undefeated as West Rowan's starting quarterback. He guided the team to back-to-back state titles those two seasons. As a junior, he threw for 2,380 yards and 20 touchdowns to only six interceptions. He rushed for over 500 yards as well.
