Barquell Rivers

Notes: Rivers will be a four-year starter on the varsity level. He started as a freshman. As a junior last season, Rivers made 130 tackles and had three interceptions. He earned all-state honors at the linebacker position. He was named all-conference his sophomore and junior seasons.

A terrific all around athlete, Rivers plays basketball and baseball in addition to football.

Head coach Jody Grooms: "He's very intelligent. He called all our sets as a freshman linebacker. He plays downhill and plays well from sideline-to-sideline. He has all the tools. No matter where he plays, he's just a football player. He's one of those kids who is good at whatever he does."
