- Offensive Line
- Class of 2006
- Chesapeake, VA (Western Branch)
- 6-3, 285 lbs
- Status: JMU Commit
Notes:
Very versatile, Ainsley has played all five offensive line positions at one point or another in his high school career. He even played tight end as a freshman on the varsity squad. As a junior last season, he earned first-team all-district, first-team all-Tidewater and second-team all-region at offensive line. On special teams he is a tremendous long snapper as well.
In the weight room, Ainsley can bench 315 pounds.
Coach Lew Johnston: "I think teams like him as a center. He’s probably a shade under 6-3. He’s not that big 6-5 wide body out there. And the fact that he knows everybody’s blocking rolls, he’s a guy that makes a lot of calls so he’s got a lot of football intelligence in addition to everything else."
