- Defensive Tackle
- Class of 2005
- Richmond, VA (Varina)
- 6-2, 360 lbs
- Status: Uncommitted
Notes:
Johnson racked up 29 unassisted tackles, 17 assisted tackles, three sacks, and five tackles-for-loss in just seven games his junior season. He earned first-team All-Metro honors by the Richmond Times-Dispatch and first-team Group AAA coaches All-State honors for the defensive tackle position. He played on the offensive line as well.
Coach Gary Chilcoat: “The best thing about Joe-Joe is his athleticism. In rec ball, he was a quarterback. He outgrew that position, but he can still throw the football 60 yards. He’s a great baseball player as well…he’s a pitcher. So he’s such a talented young man for his size. He moves well and does a lot of things well."
