Maryland opponents have left 60 points on the field in missed touchdown scoring opportunities. Twenty-three times opponents have been in the Maryland red zone. They have produced 12 touchdowns (52%). Compare that to the Cavaliers, who have allowed 11 touchdowns in 19 opponent trips to the red zone (57%). The ‘Hoos have been effective at getting into the end zone when inside the opposition 20-yard line, converting 35 opportunities into 25 touchdowns (71%). The Cavs will get a limited number of chances against the Terrapin defense, so they need to post touchdowns instead of field goals when those opportunities present themselves.
