The loss of several assistant coaches this week didn’t deter Prince George (VA) standout linebacker prospect John Bivens from verbally committing to the Cavaliers this weekend. The 6-2, 215-pound Bivens, who becomes the 18th commitment for the 2006 recruiting class, told head coach Al Groh of his decision this morning.

“I already committed,” Bivens said. “I’m done.

“I just liked the education, the football program and I felt comfortable there. I met a couple of guys I’m going to play with and they seemed real cool. We all had a good time.”
