UVa Signee Will Harris
Last month, the University of Virginia men’s basketball program signed three players to letters of intent – 6-9, 225-pound West Side (Gary, IN) forward Jamil Tucker , 6-6, 230-pound Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.) forward Will Harris and 6-8, 225-pound power forward/center Johnnie Lett . In addition, the Cavs have verbal commitments from 6-5, 225-pound Community Christian (Stockbridge, GA) guard/forward Solomon Tat and 6-7, 220-pound Paulding County (Dallas, GA) forward Andy Ogide .
Tat says he is a firm commitment, but has some work to do to meet NCAA eligibility qualification standards. If he doesn’t go to UVa, signing to play professionally in Europe may be an option. At this point, the plan is for Solomon to sign in the spring and head to UVa. Ogide signed a letter of intent, but did not get it in fast enough so he will have to wait to sign again this spring. He will sign with UVa in the spring.
