Two recent shoe commercials feature two of basketball’s brightest stars. One, a Reebok ad, features Allen Iverson as a multitude of nagging injuries are revealed. One here, one there. Another one. Then Iverson stands and simply says “Time to go to work.”

Another commercial, this one from Converse, features Dwayne Wade as he gets knocked down time and time again. High school. Marquette. Miami. Each time, Wade is shown getting up off the floor. The tagline simply states: Fall seven times. Stand up eight.
