Norview High School (Norfolk, VA) standout junior Klinton “Buddy” Ruff, a 6-4, 290-pound defensive line/offensive line prospect, has had experiences at Virginia and Virginia Tech – the two schools that have offered thus far. His most recent experience was this past weekend, when he and his mother traveled to the University of Virginia for its junior day.
“Overall, it was pretty good,” Ruff said of UVa’s junior day. “I liked all the coaches. Coach [Al] Groh and Coach London told me they really wanted me to come there. Me and my mom had a chance to sit down and talk to Coach Groh. It was good. He told me a lot about the school and himself. It sounded good to my mom. If it sounds good to her, then that’s all I want.”
Ruff has been to UVa at least three prior occasions – twice for summer camp and once for a game. He had an opportunity to get to know his primary recruiter, Mike London, in last summer’s camp experience.
