A pair of highly recruited teammates out of Gateway High School (Monroeville, PA) made the trek to Charlottesville this past weekend, and both came away impressed with what the University of Virginia had to offer. RB Cameron Saddler and LB Shayne Hale each seem to be priorities for the UVa staff in the 2008 class.
In particular, Cameron Saddler seemed extremely impressed by his junior day experience. Both he and Hale arrived on Saturday for the junior day and left on Sunday. Saddler was also accompanied by his father.
“Out of 10, I’d definitely, definitely rate it at 11,” Saddler said of his UVa experience. “I had a lot of personal time with Coach [Al] Groh. All of the players were cool. We went out to a party with Keith Payne . It was a fun overall trip.”
For Saddler, the highlight of the experience was getting that personal time with UVa’s head coach.
