Christian Brothers (Syracuse, N.Y.) wide receiver Marcus Sales says college coaches “tell me I’m a playmaker. They think I have good hands and I’m mentally ready for the next level. They see me as a playmaker in college.”
Iowa, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Pitt, Syracuse and Virginia have offered the 6-1, 185-pound star, who visited Charlottesville on Saturday for UVa’s junior day. The visit appears to have gone well.
“It impressed me when the coaching staff knew who I was,” Sales said of his experience at UVa. He made the trip with his mother, father and friend Averin Collier . “They all acknowledged me. They showed me a lot of love. I liked the campus and they have good graduation rates. The practice had a lot of intensity…once I heard the music, I was hyped. Me and Averin [Collier] were bouncing around.”
