J’Courtney Williams

One of UVa’s most highly rated recruits, Christchurch (VA) LB/S J’Courtney Williams was rated a 5-star prospect by Scout.com, a 4-star prospect by The Sabre.com and Rivals.com and the #4 prospect in the state by The Sabre.com. He was also selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January. In his senior season, the first-team all-state performer racked up 58 tackles in helping Christchurch to a state championship game appearance.

The 6-3, 228-pound prospect verbally committed to the ‘Hoos at last year’s spring game and he enrolls at UVa on July 5th. J’Courtney Williams is the subject of the latest “Q&A.”

Q&A with J’Courtney Williams

TheSabre.com: With just a month until you start your college career, how do you plan to spend your time?

J’Courtney Williams : Just working out and relaxing. I’m at home right now. I’m just going to make sure I stay in good enough shape.

TheSabre.com: Are you nervous or anxious to get there?

J’Courtney Williams : I can’t wait to get there.

TheSabre.com: Are you using a workout plan given to you by UVa coaches?

J’Courtney Williams : Yeah. They gave us a workout and that’s what I’ve been using. It works great. I’ve increased everything. My bench went up to 375. My squat is 500. My power clean is 295. I’m up to 228 pounds right
