For anyone still mourning the loss of All-everything defensive end Chris Long , take notice. Another high-octane defensive end is waiting in the wings in Matt Conrath .
The redshirt freshman, however, says he doesn’t in any way think he compares to Long. But at the defensive end spot with a high energy level, big frame sure to get bigger, and play-making ability, it’s hard not to at least imagine the possibilities.
“I don’t compare myself to him,” Conrath “He was great. He was a great mentor especially because I played a 4-3 in high school and coming to a 3-4, he was a great help in the transition.”
