Brookville (Lynchburg, VA) standout offensive lineman Devin Bolling has earned 10 scholarship offers to date, but he is looking for his recruiting success to continue. The 6-5, 270-pound senior plans to mail video from his first three regular season games to Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Wake Forest in hopes of earning offers from those programs.
All five of these programs have expressed serious interest to this point, but the coaches would like to see senior film before going further. Bolling especially would like to see three of those schools come through in the scholarship department.
“Wake Forest, UVa and UNC,” Bolling answered when asked if there were any schools he would definitely like an offer from.
Regardless of what happens with one of those three programs, Bolling plans to wait a while before making a commitment.
“Even if I get an offer from one of those schools, I’m still going to wait to make my decision,” Bolling said. “I will eliminate some schools, though. I will get down to a top five.”
Of the five, Virginia may be the closest to offering according to the Bees starting left tackle.
“They have kept in touch through letters. I only get handwritten letters from them,” Bolling said of UVa. He will be in Charlottesville on Saturday for Virginia’s season opener against USC. “The way they are talking, I think UVa will probably offer soon.”
Bolling, who has been offered by Army, Connecticut, East Carolina, Marshall, Ohio and Richmond, among others, made an important decision after his junior season came to an end.
