One of Virginia’s most highly rated commitments in the 2009 class, Dominique Wallace turned in a fantastic senior season performance for Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA), earning Group AA, Region 1 Player of the Year honors for his play at running back. The 6-1, 225-pound prospect will officially become part of the University of Virginia football program on February 4th, when he signs a letter of intent with the program he committed to almost a year ago.
“I’m more excited about getting the workout plan,” Wallace said with a laugh when asked if he is looking forward to the upcoming Signing Day. “I’m excited just to sign, to know I’ll be at Virginia in a couple of months. I’ve been waiting a year and a half to get there. The funny thing is, the Christmas before I committed, my mom and my sister gave me a bunch of UVa stuff. So I guess I might’ve been committed longer.”
