After the offensive line column, I thought about writing an easy column about a simple-to-break-down unit, a unit where there was little confusion, where there were locked-in starters, where prognostication could be based on clear facts.

So does the defensive line qualify? I guess. Sort of. Maybe. At the very least, I have a good idea of who the starters will be. But as for what level of play we are going to get from the line … well, maybe it is not the easiest of columns after all.
