Lake Braddock (Burke, VA) offensive lineman Khamrone Kolb isn’t ruling out making a college commitment before the start of his senior high school year, but for now the 6-6, 300-pound prospect is leaning towards taking official visits this fall. Kolb, who is considered one of the top offensive line prospects in the state, knows three official visit destinations so far.
“Lately, I’ve been trying to narrow it down to three or four schools by the end of the summer,” Kolb said. “As of right now, I sort of have a list. Penn State is on it. UVa is on it. U-Conn is on it. Those are the definite ones. I want to find another school so I’ll have at least four official visits to compare. I’m trying to commit by Christmas at least.”
Asked about the possibility of committing before September, Kolb answered, “Some mornings I wake up and want to get it over with. Then, I think I can’t just do that. This decision will affect the next four or five years of my life. If I do make a decision before official visits, I’ll have to have that perfect feeling about a school.”
North Carolina and Virginia Tech have each offered Kolb and, up until this point, have been listed in Kolb’s top five. The athletic lineman discussed why neither has locked up the remaining two official visits spots.
