Virginia’s offensive line is struggling so far in 2009.
As the final few seconds ticked off the clock at the end of the first half Saturday, a loud thud rose from the Virginia’s coaches’ box in Scott Stadium. The frustrated reaction followed a series that featured two sacks in six plays. On the final play of the half – the one that drew the ire of the box – senior offensive lineman Will Barker missed a block on TCU standout end Jerry Hughes, resulting in a pancake sack of quarterback Jameel Sewell .
In the end, it was just part of another long day for the Cavaliers’ offense as TCU rolled to a 30-14 win. The loss drops UVa to 0-2 for the first time since the 2002.
