Virginia’s 2010 football recruiting class increased by one more this morning, when Collegiate (Richmond, VA) star Jake McGee pledged to Mike London’s Cavaliers. The 6-5, 210-pound senior, a VIS first-team all-state quarterback/defensive back, originally committed to Richmond.
“I committed this morning,” McGee wrote via e-mail. He becomes Virginia’s 15th commitment of the 2010 class.
A two-sport standout at Collegiate, McGee led the Cougars to VIS Division 1 state titles in football each of the past two seasons. As a senior, he completed 212 of 348 passes for 3,007 yards with 34 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He rushed for 576 yards and 11 scores. McGee also racked up over 60 solo tackles at free safety.
